Ops:Operator Feedback into Development Priorities for OpenStack Projects
The Product WG recently asked a majority of the PTLs for a list of questions that would provide necessary information to make design decisions and to better understand how the services are being used in OpenStack cloud deployments. While the full list of questions is too long for a 40 minute session, we would like to spend time on 10 or 11 of these questions with you, the operators, so that we can take this feedback directly to the project teams. The projects that will be discussed are Nova, Cinder, Glance, Heat, Horizon, Triple O, Ironic, Kolla, and Keystone. Thanks in advance for your help!

Cross Project workshops: Performance team kick-off
There is an idea to create a sub team in Large Deployments Team ( https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Large_Deployment_Team ) focused on identifying OpenStack performance issues. We would like to work on their solutions and sharing knowledge about performance and scalability researches done by different companies.

It will be a good idea to gather together and finalise Performance team mission, #1 issues to work on, and share experience.

Cross Project workshops: Standard Deprecation Policy
Recently the TC approved a "follows standard deprecation" tag which tried to reasonably capture what projects were doing. That coincided with the removal of v1 cinder API from devstack, which didn't really go so well, and had to be reverted.

This session will be a bit of a post mortem on what went wrong there, and how we do this less wrong in the future. The expected output is a plan for how cinder (and other projects) can reasonably remove their very old APIs, what's expected there, and what additional guidance we should provide in our standard-deprecation tag.

Also we will be talking about libraries and clients and their deprecation story.

Glance: Glance Image Import reloaded
Session leader: Brian Rosmaita

What problem is this trying to solve?:

We need to nail down the requirements for a public-facing image import mechanism that will satisfy DefCore as well as the concerns of large public clouds and small private clouds and small public clouds and large private clouds. OK, so a brief summary of this is that the current upload mechanism works fine for some folks but not others. DefCore wants us to have a single upload mechanism for everyone to use. That's what we want to nail down the requirements on. The current upload mechanism will continue to exist but won't be a DefCore requirement.

SearchLight: Prioritizing Search Integrations and Capabilities (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Swift, etc)
Say hello to Project Searchlight. Based on Elasticsearch, this newly approved OpenStack project has a mission to provide advanced and scalable indexing and search across multi-tenant cloud resources. In Liberty we released a technical preview (0.1.0) and in Mitaka we intend to release the official 1.0 version. A full demo and overview of searchlight will be provided at the main conference session below:

http://sched.co/49ub

In this session we will be covering questions like the following:

* What would deployers and users most like to see Searchlight provide?
* What is the priority for search integrations to other services like Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Swift, etc?
* What can we do to better enable the above integrations?
* What can we do to best enable other project teams to develop integration plugins for their project?

The session will have notes taken on the following etherpad:
